In the State of Florida v. Marcia Thompson, the state charged Marcia Thompson with First Degree murder, when she had immediately claimed she was defending herself. Marcia Thompson hired attorney Jessica Mishali, who won a motion to have her released on bond pending trial, and five years later, on July 22, 2024, the jury agreed with Marcia Thompson and acquitted her with a Not Guilty verdict.
